Goodbye Sweet Friend

Today I just found out that sweet Norton has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I didn't know him very well but from what I've read about him, he was a great cat and an even greater friend. You will be missed sweetie.

It's always so sad to read about friends passing. I lost my best friend so long ago. His name was Xanadu. He was a big dumb tabby but had a heart of gold. When the Mom brought me home as a tiny sick kitten, he took care of me, keeping me warm and protecting me from Boo Boo. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 1998. Then, my other friend Moose passed away last year. People wonder why I'm so darn grumpy. I've lost all the good friends I've had in my life.

You always have us. Always. Even though we aren't there by your side where you can see us, we are there in spirit, and her on the 'net.

Thank you Brandi. I was wrong. I do have all my good friends on the net now. :)

Xanadu sounds like he was a great big bro. But Brandi's right--you have lots of pals here!

Ayla,
You lost a Moose friend?? I will be your new Moose friend! Don't worry about being grumpy - we are all grumpy from time to time.

Oh, Ayla, my most sympathetic grumpy furiend! I was sad to hear of Grampa Norton and your friend Moose (I'll forgive the "dumb tabby" part).

Ayla, I appeal to your sense of fairness in my time of need. I'm being falsely accused of a crime AND of accusing Victor! I'm looking for like-minded female felines to help me out here. I'm innocent! Finny, our so-called friend, is defending Victor, but attacking ME! Can I count on you to support me at this time? You, of all cats, understand how it is to live wif younger cats who make you grumpy.

I lost my best buddy, Ambrose, after ten years together.

Mama says he was killed dead on the road.

All I know is he was here and he isn't now. I miss him terribly and it has made me awfully poorly and grumpy.

Charlie is ok, I guess, but he's not Ambrose.

We still loves you, Ayla :-)
