Who the hell...

...is Harry Potter and why has the Mom spent all day reading about him and not lavishing attention on me?

Our Teen Brats have been reading about this same thing, hmmmm, Cats are certainly MORE important than anyone named Harry!

Hope you get your attention back soon. Purrs

I know lots of grownup humans who enjoy reading about this Hairy Potter. My mom is one of them who has read all of the other Hairy books but has yet to begin the new one.

You know you only need one hand to turn pages...why can't she pet you with the other one...or keep a large jar of kitty treats nearby.

You need to get up in Mom's lap and stick your head between her and the book. That will get her attention.

I found the book predictable--the woman sat down, read. I sat on her. She turned some pages. I sat on the book--got moved.... same old same old...

I agree with Megan that cats are much more important. It is unfortunate that your Mom doesn't realize this.

DKM did the same thing and now she is walking around the house saying bad words about JK.

The Woman kept talking about him on Saturday and I kept looking for him, but all she did was read. I got fed early, so I don't care...

I think Hairy Potter is the name of a disease humans get. It causes them to ignore us and lay around listlessly hanging onto a book for dear life. It must be very very contagious cuz they all seem to get it at the same time. Mom didn't get the disease this time, though, thank goodness.

I've heard of this Harry Potter fellow in passing, but can't understand why he's more important than you!

Fortunately, The Big Thing has no interest in that Harry Potter guy... So we are getting our scratchies and laps and dinners as usual.
