The Mom is a little miffed right now. She was supposed to teach two classes at her college starting next week but she just got an e-mail, not even a phone call but an e-mail, informing her that a full-timer took one of her classes. It was a European history class which is her real favorite to teach. She was crying about it 'cause it was the one class she was really looking forward to and had prepped it an all.
Now normally I would say "great...this means more time with the Mom," right? But I know that she really loves her teaching and I hate anything that makes her upset. Also, this means she won't get paid as much which means my Extra Special Stinky Goodness supply may not be replenished. Bah. I told the Mom to bring me to the head of the department's office to give him a good thwapping but she said I couldn't do that. She wants to keep the one class she has left. Bah.

Mama has heard of this happening, but to not even give the person a call? That's plain mean and underhanded! Doesn't she have some kind of contract???
The sucky part is that she doesn't get the contract until the first day of the semester. :P

That's horribly rude. I would think they'd want to treat their part time people better. After those the full timers won't stay around forever.. I mean with tenure and all they think they will but they will eventually get too old...

That sounds a lot like what happened wif our Dad acept it was his bizness classes that gotted taken away from him. He usually just gets emails too.
Daddy also said to tell you there's no professionalism left in this business anymore. After 21 years of teaching he gets cr*p fur respect. He feels yur pain.

That's why DKM stopped teaching - because of stuff like that. It's had to pay the mortgage if you'd not sure you're getting a paycheck.
