Normally, I have no sympathy to humans when they get upset about stuff 'cause most of the time the stuff that happens is their fault. This time, however, I do feel sorry for the Mom.
Last week, the Mom brought her car to the dealership to get the oil changed. Well, while the car was there, someone must've hit it 'cause the hood was bent and the bumper damaged. Since she tends to be oblivious, she didn't notice it for a couple of days. When she went to confront the dealership they gave her a hard time and refused to pay for the damage. That's bad enough, right?
Well, today she went to the mechanics to get a guesstimate about how much it's going to cost to fix it. There was a lot more damage to the car than you can tell from the outside and the guy told the Mom that the insurance company may just consider the car totalled rather than pay to fix it. Now I don't know about you guys but the Mom gets really attached to her cars. She had her first car for ten years and this one for eight. She even has a silly name for it: the Blue Baron. When she got home she was crying that she would lose her car and that they can't afford to buy a newer one right now since they are about to get a mortgage.
I'm sorry but anybody that makes the Mom cry deserves a good thwap upside the head with additional poopinosity on their pillows. Nobody makes the Mom cry and gets away with it. Bah.
On top of this, the humans are stressing out over house hunting. The Mom said they saw a lot of nice places but there was one major thing wrong with each of them. They'll be going out again in a couple of weeks looking at more of them. The Mom said a couple of them had three bedrooms which means I might actually get my own room. That would be so nice, but I'm not holding my breath. With my luck the Doofi will claim the room before I have a chance to get into the place.

Oh, yur poor mom! My mom gets attached to her car, too (the 1 before this 1 more than this 1) AND when they was hunting houses, they looked at ofur 100 before they found one that was right!!! Tell yur Mom to hang in there an if she's huntin efurry weekend, it's time to take a weekend off. Don't worry, they'll find the right one.
As fur damage that's nefur admitted, a naybor was paintin plastic patio furniture PINK an splattered paint on Mom's WHITE bumper. They nefur told her an by the time she saw it, it was too dried to get off. Then der was the kid who banged his door into hers while she was sittin rite der. She told him to "watch it!" an his dad looked at her funny. Later saw it was BIG dent!!!
All the more reason to stay curled up on the bed.
Poor Mom... our Mom is attached to her cars too... she still isn't used to the one she has now & has had it for 2 years. Last one she drove everyday for 13 years.
oh your poor mommy. that is terrible! somebody hitted mommy's truck in a parking lot once when it was new and caused lots of damage - over 1000 to replace efurryfing that was broked!
Poor Mommy! You's right that anybody who'd make your mommy cry deserve icky stuff.

Momma isn't so attatched to her cars but she said she would be furry upset anyway! Just cause it's such a pain and then this happens and now you have to get it fixed. YUCK. I hope things work out.
My mom gets attached to her cars too. Long long before me she had one once she called "Holy Cow"--it even had a tag on it with that name. The Cow was a '63 Chevy that finally went to the bridge in '94, 9 years after she got it.
And Ayla? Don't fall for that "you'll get your own bedroom" thing. That's what my mom said when we got our house. "My" room is the usually off-limits crafts room.
The Woman doesn't get too attached, but she's still not happy that they totaled their truck about a million years ago. It was all paid off and they didn't want another car payment. They got one anyway. Heh.
If'n one of the beans cars has efurr had to go to the garij, mum sed dad looks at it wiv a fine toof comb befurr it leeves theer.I don't unnerstand that. Why wud yoo comb a car? It hasn't got furrs has it?
Good luck wiv the house hunting. We hopes yoo gets a bedroom all to yerself.
After the Mom finished all her crying last night, she decided that if the nasty insurance company considers it totalled, she's going to take the buy back option and use the money to fix the car. She has enough saved up to cover the cost as long as it's under $2,000 which the mechanic gave as an estimate. She said that she can't get another car until the Dad's car is paid off.
